CSO-012.

Abstract

The article outlines the idea of creating the International Research and Education Center "Integrated Water Resources Management" (IWRM). The main goals and objectives of the project are set out. The possibilities and opportunities of the International Research Center are considered and Educación.La severe water scarcity, coupled with population growth and economic activity, creates an unprecedented demand for water, often driven by irrigated agriculture, aquatic ecosystems and the rural poor [3]. The satisfaction of an excessive demand for water causes the depletion of water resources and the contamination of surface and groundwater with household, agricultural and industrial waste [4]. Biodiversity and ecosystem services are also threatened by the large-scale extraction and transport of water from lakes and rivers, groundwater reservoirs and the blocking of watercourses to take advantage of all available resources. Global warming and, consequently, the decrease in the availability of natural water resources leads to a water catastrophe. Therefore, urgent actions are needed to contain transboundary tensions and water management. The creation of the International Research and Education Center, the development of the best water management practices and the exploration of additional water sources are a powerful incentive for understanding and cooperation between the regions.
