XVII Taller Internacional “La Educación Superior y sus Perspectivas”
El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo socializar una experiencia institucional en la
formación profesional, retos y perspectivas para garantizar la permanencia y egreso en
la Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina
El estudio observacional, analítico y descriptivo, acerca de las políticas, estrategias,
normas y procedimientos tomados en cuenta a partir de la caracterización
sociodemográfica de la matrícula muestra, (curso 2021-2022 ELAM sede), permitió
profundizar en las investigaciones y elaborar una estrategia educativa para cada año y
carrera centrada en tres categorías de estudiantes a partir del pronóstico como
resultante del diagnóstico psicopedagógico (Alto riesgo, Riesgo y Bajo riesgo).
El desarrollo de un sistema de acciones de ayuda continua y acompañamiento a l os
estudiantes desde los programas de bienestar universitario, tributa a la formación
integral, científica, humanista, ética y solidaria de los futuros médicos generales .
Su enfoque mixto a partir de las dimensiones (cognitiva, socioafectiva y personal) en la
formación del profesional, ccontribuyó a la acción intersectorial de los especialistas,
profesores, directivos y agentes educativos que promovió transformaciones en los
modos de actuación de los estudiantes para garantizar la permanencia y egreso.
The present work has the objective of socializing an institutional experience in the
professional formation, challenges and perspectives to guarantee the permanence and
graduation of the students in the Latin American School of Medicine.
An observational, analytic and descriptive study about the policies, strategies, rules and
procedures taking into consideration the socio demographic characterization of the
sample (course 2021 2022) in LASM, let us go deeper into the investigation and create
an educative strategy for each year and career centered on the categories of the
students based on the forecast as a result of the pedagogic diagnosis (High Risk, Risk
and Low Risk).
The development of a system of actions to help and accompany the students from the
programs of university welfare takes to the scientific, humanist, ethic and solidary
formation of the future doctors.
Its mixed approach from the dimensions (cognitive, socio affective and personal) on the
professional formation contributed to the interaction of the different specialists,
professors, managers and educative agents that promoted transformations on the
students behavior to guarantee their permanence and graduation.
