XVII Taller Internacional de Extensión Universitaria
En 2015, los líderes mundiales acuerdan trabajar en el desarrollo sostenible a través de
la Agenda 2030 y los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), resultado de un proceso
de varios años que apunta a generar prosperidad, alianzas, erradicar la pobreza, proteger
el planeta y garantizar espacios seguros y de paz. Las instituciones de educación superior
(IES) se encuentran en una posición única para estar a la vanguardia de la promoción de
los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) y servir de referencia para otros sectores
de la sociedad; es por eso que IEPROES realiza su aporte a través del trabajo de la
Unidad de Proyección Social en el cumplimiento de estrategias que son parte de la
Agenda 2030 a partir de situaciones problemáticas identificadas mediante
investigaciones institucionales en donde existen vulnerabilidades como pobreza extrema,
desigualdades en los derechos de los niños y las mujeres, salud, desigualdades de
género, violencia intrafamiliar, daños al medio ambiente por contaminantes en ríos, falta
de concientización de nuestra población en la conservación y cuidado del medio
ambiente. Es a partir de estos resultados que IEPROES realiza un aporte al cumplimiento
de estrategias de los ODS conscientes del cambio que se puede generar y el aporte a
nuestro planeta, incorporando acciones específicas en las planificaciones de proyectos
que contribuyan a la solución y conduzcan a un impacto social en la salud y medio
ambiente, ejecutándolas en diversos escenarios de poblaciones y comunidades con
diferentes enfoques en el área de educación, salud, medio ambiente y cultura.
