PER-112. La Colaboración Académica en Instituciones de Educación Superior de América Latina el Caribe y Cuba

Resumen

En el marco del proceso de internacionalización de la educación superior, decisivo promotor de la inmersión y participación de las instituciones en la sociedad del conocimiento, la colaboración académica juega un papel fundamental implementando acciones académicas y administrativas que contribuyen a la formación integral de profesionales globalmente competitivos. Estas acciones impactan directamente en el proceso docente educativo, la investigación científica, la extensión universitaria y la superación posgraduada, así como en el personal, sobre todo en el académico. El presente trabajo tiene como propósito caracterizar la colaboración académica en las Instituciones de Educación Superior de América Latina (IES), el Caribe y Cuba mediante el análisis de iniciativas para mejorarla, indicadores y factores limitantes. Para la elaboración del trabajo se analizaron documentos e informes de organizaciones internacionales, así como artículos de autores reconocidos vinculados al tema.

Abstract

Within the framework of the internationalization process of higher education, a decisive promoter of the immersion and participation of institutions in the knowledge society, academic collaboration plays a fundamental role by implementing academic and administrative actions that contribute to the comprehensive training of globally competitive professionals. These actions have a direct impact on the educational teaching process, scientific research, university extension and postgraduate improvement, as well as on the staff, especially the academic one. The purpose of this work is to characterize the

academic collaboration in the Higher Education Institutions of Latin America (IES), the Caribbean and Cuba through the analysis of initiatives to improve it, indicators and limiting factors. For the preparation of the work, documents and reports from international organizations were analyzed, as well as articles published by recognized authors related to the subject.
