Resumen
La culminación de los estudios es el proceso final de la formación en la educación
superior de pregrado y en su evaluación el estudiante debe demostrar el cumplimiento de los objetivos establecidos para la carrera. La bibliografía sobre el tema muestra la necesidad de profundizar en la búsqueda de prácticas variadas y flexibles, que permitan la adaptación a situaciones de no presencialidad como las que atraviesan las instituciones de educación superior desde el año 2020. El propósito de este trabajo es valorar el desarrollo del ejercicio de culminación de los estudios, en la Universidad de Matanzas, bajo las condiciones impuestas por la COVID-19. Se utilizó el método analítico-sintético y el análisis documental para la revisión de la bibliografía, las normativas e indicaciones establecidas para el desarrollo del proceso de culminación de los estudios y los documentos producto de la actividad pedagógica; se diseñaron instrumentos para el diagnóstico de la situación inicial y final, a partir de los procederes o propuestas establecidas, que garantizaron la atención individual y de equidad en el proceso de evaluación,diversificación de las vías para demostrar el cumplimiento de los objetivos, calidad en las calificaciones obtenidas, y satisfacción de los estudiantes en todas las careras.
Abstract
The culmination of studies is the final process of training in undergraduate higher
education and in its evaluation the student must demonstrate compliance with the
objectives established for the career. The bibliography on the subject shows the need to deepen the search for varied and flexible practices, which allow adaptation to situations of non-presence such as those that higher education institutions go through since 2020. The purpose of this work is to assess the development of the exercise to complete the studies, at the University of Matanzas, under the conditions imposed by COVID-19. The analytical-synthetic method and the documentary analysis were used to review the bibliography, the regulations and indications established for the development of the process of completion of the studies and the documents produced by the pedagogical activity; Instruments were designed for the diagnosis of the initial and final situation, based on the established procedures or proposals, which guaranteed individual attention and equity in the evaluation process, diversification of the ways to demonstrate compliance with the objectives, quality in the grades obtained, and the satisfaction of the students in all the careers.
