XVI Taller Internacional “Junta Consultiva sobre el Postgrado en Iberoamérica”.
La Comisión Nacional de Grados Científicos, adscrita al Ministerio de Educación
Superior, dirige el Sistema Nacional de Grados Científicos de la República de Cuba. La
formación de doctores, parte fundamental de la educación de posgrado, está
estrechamente vinculada a la creación de capacidades para la investigación y la
innovación y las necesidades presentes y futuras de la nación, responde así plenamente a la Agenda 2030 y sus Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS).
El trabajo presenta un análisis de datos de todos los registros de los otorgamientos del
grado científico de doctor en determinada área del conocimiento aprobados por la
Comisión Nacional de Grados Científicos, a propuesta de los tribunales de grado de las defensas de doctorado, en el período comprendido entre 2016-2020. Su objetivo es responder algunas interrogantes sobre las cantidades y porcentajes de la estructura de los doctores egresados en Cuba por área del conocimiento y las instituciones autorizadas responsables de su formación doctoral. También se aportan algunos datos de características de los egresados. Como resultado se presentan algunas tendencias identificadas y reafirmadas respecto a estudios realizados de períodos anteriores.
The National Commission of Scientific Degrees, attaches to the Ministry of Higher
Education, directs the National System of Scientific Degrees of the Republic of Cuba. The training of doctors, a fundamental part of postgraduate education, is closely linked to the creation of capacities for research and innovation in accordance with the present and future needs of the nation, thus fully responding to the 2020 Agenda and its Objectives of Sustainable Development (OSD).
The work presents a data analysis of all the records of the scientific degree of doctor in a certain area of knowledge approved by the National Commission of Scientific Degrees, at the proposal of the courts of degree of the defenses of doctorate, in the period comprised between 2016-2020. Its objective is to answer some questions about the quantities and percentages of the structure of PhD graduates in Cuba by area of knowledge y the authorized institutions responsible for their doctoral training. Some data on the characteristics of the graduates are also provided. As a result, some trends identified and reaffirmed with respect to studies carried out in previous periods are presented.
