Resumen
Constituye un enorme reto para la Universidad cubana actual la fragua de profesionales íntegros y de una consciencia social que se capaz de transformar y aportar desde las ópticas de la conducción del proceso revolucionario cubano. El protagonismo estudiantil en el contexto en que se define a esta masa como la cantera fundamental de toda sociedad, contribuye sin dudas a la formación de jóvenes que asuman la responsabilidad de su desarrollo profesional al tiempo de su deber para con la sociedad nueva. Se realiza una investigación cualitativa en la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas Carlos J. Finlay, con el objetivo de valorar el impacto que tiene en el protagonismo de los líderes estudiantiles el rescate de la identidad del fundador de la FEU Julio Antonio Mella. Se realizaron acciones para promover el estudio y acercamiento de los líderes estudiantiles a la vida y obra del mártir, empleándose para ello las técnicas de entrevista estructurada, entrevista grupal y observación participante a una muestra de once dirigentes estudiantiles. Se logró identificar que los dirigentes estudiantiles tienen una visión acertada sobre el protagonismo estudiantil y enriquecido por el rescate de la identidad de Mella.
Abstract
The forge of upright professionals and a social conscience that is capable of transforming and contributing from the perspectives of conducting the Cuban revolutionary process constitutes an enormous challenge for the current Cuban University. Student protagonist in the context in which this mass is defined as the fundamental quarry of every society, undoubtedly contributes to the training of young people who assume responsibility for their professional development at the same time as their duty to the new society. A qualitative investigation is carried out at the Carlos J. Finlay University of Medical Sciences, with the objective of assessing the impact that the rescue of the identity of the founder of the FEU Julio Antonio Mella has on the prominence of student leaders. Actions were carried out to promote the study and approach of student leaders to the life and work of the martyr, using the techniques of structured interview, group interview and participant observation with a sample of eleven student leaders. It was possible to identify that the student leaders have an accurate vision of student protagonist and enriched by the rescue of Mella's identity.
