Resumen
Resultados: Los estudios de seguimiento a egresados en Ciencias Médicas integran la evaluación del desempeño profesional según el diseño curricular concebido mediante la evaluación de las competencias establecidas para ese logro. Conclusiones: Se identificaron los fundamentos que sustentan el seguimiento al egresado de la carrera de medicina en la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de La Habana.
Abstract
Abstract: At present, graduate follow-up studies are a tool to assess the relevance of study plans and programs offered by an institution and their purpose is curricular improvement and institutional evaluation. Objective: To identify the theoretical foundations that support the follow-up of the graduate of the medical career at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana. Method: qualitative research, where methods of the theoretical level were used: historical-logical that valued the evolution that the professional performance in the medical sciences has had, as well as the systematization that allowed the determination of the theoretical referents linked to the Medical Education Sciences, related to professional performance and competencies. Results: The follow-up studies of graduates in Medical Sciences integrate the evaluation of professional performance according to the curricular design conceived through the evaluation of the competences established for that achievement. Conclusions: The foundations that support the follow-up of the graduate of the medical career at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana were identified.
