Resumen
INTRODUCIÓN. La formación de especialistas en Bioestadística tiene una elevada pertinencia social, entre sus competencias está garantizar la calidad de los datos para su análisis y toma de decisiones científicas en salud. Durante el confinamiento por COVID-19, la residencia no se detuvo, y se precisó adaptar los programas de los módulos a la modalidad virtual, por lo que se trazaron como objetivos: describir la situación de la formación de especialistas en bioestadística, identificar fortalezas, debilidades, oportunidades y amenazas, elaborar y aplicar propuesta de modificación de la misma. DESARROLLO. Se realizó una investigación en políticas y sistemas de salud, del tipo desarrollo tecnológico, con enfoque mixto en la Escuela Nacional de Salud Pública, en los años 2020 y 2021. Se estudiaron las ediciones del 2017, 2018 y 2020; y las variables de pertinencia social, profesores, estudiantes, infraestructura y currículo. Se aplicó matriz FODA y se propusieron estrategias para la adaptación de los programas modulares, esto permitió que se adaptaran a la virtualidad 10 módulos, existieron otros, que por su complejidad, se adaptaron a la forma mixta. Los métodos, el sistema de medios de enseñanza y la evaluación fueron los componentes del proceso enseñanza aprendizaje en los que incidieron la mayor cantidad de cambios. CONCLUSIONES. La formación de especialistas en Bioestadística ha tenido resultados satisfactorios en los últimos cinco años. La modalidad virtual, en el contexto universitario actual, es una necesidad para enfrentar contingencias epidemiológicas, y estar a la altura del desarrollo científico técnico de la humanidad.
Abstract
INTRODUCTION. The training of specialists in bioestadistics has a high social relevance, among their competencies is to guarantee the quality of the data for their analysis and scientific decisión-making. During the confinement by COVID-19, the residency did not stop, and it was necessary.to adapt the module programs to the virtual modality, for which they were outlined as objetives: to describe the current situation of the training of specialists in bioestadistics, to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, prepare and apply a proposal to modify it. DEVELOPMENT. A research on health policies and systems was carried out, of technological development type, with mixed approach at the National School of Public Health, in the years 2020 and 2021.The 2017,2018 and 20202 editions were studied, and the variables of social relevance, professors, students, infraestructure and curriculum. The SWOT matrix was applied and strategies were proposed for the adaptation of the modular programs, this allowed 10 modules to be adapted to virtuality, there were others, that due to their complexity, were adapted to the mixed form. The methods, the system of teaching means and the evaluation, were the components of the teaching-learning process, in wich the greatest number of changes affected. CONCLUSIONS. The training of specialists in bioestadistics has had satisfactory results in recent years. The virtual modality in the current Cuban university context, is a necessity to face epidemiological contingencies, and to keep up with the scientific and technical development of humanity.
