ALI-003.

ganancia media diaria, conversión alimentaria, mortalidad y morbilidad,
hemoglobina, hematocrito, leucocitos totales, eosinófilos, linfocitos y monocitos.

The porcine species is characterized by presenting a very high percentage of
neonatal mortality compared to other species. The objective of evaluating the effect
of efficient autochthonous microorganisms of Guantánamo (MEAG) in bioproductive,
hematological and economic indicators of piglets. For this, 96 piglets (Duroc/CC21),
since it birth and average live weight of 1.55 ± 0.27 kg, were used. They were
distributed, according to a completely randomized design into four groups, with 24
repetitions each. Treatments were control (without MEAG), and orally addition of
MEAG in mono-doses at day of birth and doses of 2.0; 10.0 and 20.0 mL/kg of live
weight/day in ration, supplied from 7 to 33 days old, date that the experiment
concluded. Final live weight, weight gain, daily mean gain, feed conversion,
hemoglobin, hematocrit, total leukocyte, lymphocyte, eosinophil, monocytes, mortality
and morbidity were evaluated. The highest results were obtained in doses of 2.0 mL
MEAG / kg of live weight, for the variables final live weight and weight increase (0.59,
0.70 and 0.66 kg), mean daily gain (17.8, 21.1 and 20.0 g) and lower in the feed
conversion, to the control and the treatments two and three, respectively.
Hematological values increased with increasing doses, but in the normal range. Only
for morbidity differences were detected between the animals in the control group and
treatment three, with no differences between the two remaining groups. It is
concluded that the use of MEAG as a feed additive improves the bioproductive,
hematological and economic indicators of piglets.
