El trabajo aborda la contribución de la universidad a la Educación Patrimonial en el entorno montañoso de Manicaragua, una problemática de gran importancia en el contexto de la realidad cubana actual para contribuir al desarrollo sostenible. Las necesidades de preparación identificadas en el docente de la escuela primaria en la zona montañosa de Manicaragua, así como el reconocimiento de las potencialidades de este territorio que posee un valioso y diverso patrimonio natural y cultural, lo que facilita su tratamiento en el proceso pedagógico como objetivo formativo; constituyen el móvil del presente estudio. En correspondencia, como resultado de la profundización en la teoría y su constatación en la práctica, se ofrecen diferentes hallazgos: una aproximación a la definición de Educación Patrimonial ajustada al contexto de la investigación, la delimitación de los objetivos y contenidos de la preparación en Educación Patrimonial del docente de la escuela primaria en la zona montañosa de Manicaragua. Igualmente, se revelan los principales impactos registrados en la preparación del colectivo de docentes a partir de su participación en cursos, conferencias especializadas y entrenamientos desde el puesto de trabajo coordinados por el Centro Universitario Municipal. La propuesta constituye una alternativa que ha favorecido la elevación de los conocimientos teóricos y metodológicos del docente de la escuela primaria para el tratamiento de la Educación patrimonial en el proceso pedagógico, con una actitud responsable ante la protección y uso sostenible del patrimonio de la zona montañosa.
The work addresses the contribution of the university to Heritage Education in the mountainous environment of Manicaragua, a problem of great importance in the context of the current Cuban reality to contribute to sustainable development. The preparation needs identified in the primary school teacher in the mountainous area of Manicaragua, as well as the recognition of the potential of this territory, which has a valuable and diverse natural and cultural heritage, which facilitates its treatment in the pedagogical process as training objective; constitute the motive for this study. Correspondingly, as a result of the deepening of the theory and its verification in practice, different findings are offered: an approach to the definition of Heritage Education adjusted to the context of the research, the delimitation of the objectives and contents of the preparation in Education Heritage of the primary school teacher in the mountainous area of Manicaragua. Likewise, the main impacts recorded in the preparation of the group of teachers are revealed from their participation in courses, specialized conferences and trainings from the workplace coordinated by the Municipal University Center. The proposal constitutes an alternative that has favored the elevation of the theoretical and methodological knowledge of the primary school teacher for the treatment of heritage education in the pedagogical process, with a responsible attitude towards the protection and sustainable use of the heritage of the mountainous area.
