Resumen
El trabajo que se presenta forma parte de un Proyecto de investigación financiado por la Embajada de Francia en Cuba, sobre Las enfermedades emergentes causadas por vectores y el género en el Caribe. Especificidades en Guadalupe, Martinica y Cuba, particularmente en la provincia Granma. Papel de la vigilancia y el control. Sobre la base de la utilización de métodos teóricos y empíricos se realiza un estudio con el objetivo de fundamentar desde la teoría el enfoque de género en Una salud para enfrentar el Dengue en la Provincia Granma, para ello realizamos un Diagnostico de la situación del Dengue en municipios seleccionados de la Provincia Granma con un enfoque de género, que pretende comenzar a llenar un vacío existente en el análisis de dos problemáticas de interés del Estado y el gobierno cubanos: el género y la salud. Se realiza el estudio de documentos especializados y bibliografía de investigadores del tema, se aplica una encuesta a una muestra de 190 mujeres y hombres de los municipios Jiguaní, Bayamo y Manzanillo que permitieron ofrecer las manifestaciones de la focalidad en los últimos años, su especificidad en los municipios seleccionados, así como evidencias de que el territorio granmense precisa profundizar en estos temas como vía de solución de aristas contenidas en el Programa de Adelanto para las Mujeres y los Objetivos del Milenio.
