Resumen
La Sociedad de Interfaz de Ciencia y Tecnología de la Universidad de Oriente
CINTRO S.A tiene como misión contribuir al desarrollo del sector productivo y
de servicios sobre bases científicas, con altos estándares de calidad, ética y
sostenibilidad para constituirse en una empresa de alto prestigio conectando la
ciencia y la innovación con el desarrollo. Para lograrlo, se nutre del alto nivel
científico y profesional de profesores, investigadores, estudiantes, técnicos,
especialistas y personal de apoyo de las Universidades de Oriente y
Guantánamo. En el trabajo se presentan los impactos de su gestión hasta la
fecha, los principales retos y perspectivas de desarrollo. Base del análisis son
los resultados obtenidos en el primer semestre del año que indican la
importancia de este tipo de organizaciones como entes dinamizadores de la
ciencia, la innovación y el vínculo con el sector empresarial, materializado en
30 contratos de servicios firmados y más de 20 en negociación, indicando la
creciente demanda del sector empresarial para la aplicación del conocimiento
de las universidades. Los principales desafíos y perspectivas de desarrollo
están enmarcados en lograr que profesores, investigadores y estudiantes se
vinculen al desempeño de la empresa, implementar el Sistema de Gestión de
Calidad en todos sus procesos, aportar a la creación de capacidades para el
desarrollo de la ciencia y la innovación y gestionar eficientemente el potencial
exportable que representan las carreras y programas de posgrado, que se
traduciría en impactos tangibles en desarrollo del sistema empresarial y la
economía del país.
