I Taller Internacional “Las ciencias sociales y humanísticas desde la universidad”.
En la actualización del modelo económico social cubano planteado en los lineamientos económicos sociales aprobados por el VI congreso del PCC, ratificados en la Primera Conferencia Nacional y en su VII Congreso, se concede un espacio importante a la necesidad de potenciar el trabajo productor de bienes y servicios como vía fundamental para alcanzar el socialismo próspero y sustentable que deseamos y necesitamos. El trabajo que se presenta tiene como propósito fundamental argumentar la necesidad de revitalizar el significado del trabajo para lograr los índices de desarrollo que queremos obtener. La cultura de trabajo que necesitamos fomentar debe estar guiada y enriquecida por los elementos que ofrecen el pensamiento marxista-leninista fundacional y sus continuadores y lo más avanzado del pensamiento de nuestra tradición nacional, de Fidel, el Che y Raúl. La educación desempeña un papel muy especial en tal encargo, pues las soluciones que se ofrezcan deben asumirse de manera integral e instalarse en lo mejor de nuestra cultura, donde se tomen de la mano independencia y prosperidad, para formar un nuevo hombre que responda a las exigencias de la sociedad cubana. Nuestra educación revolucionaria aporta, en el orden teórico metodológico el “deber ser”, el sistema de ideales, valores y fines en que se fundamenta la formación de ese hombre. Esta cultura de trabajo socialista que necesitamos estimular, debe potenciar un sujeto capaz de sobrepasar su individualidad, ponerse en función del colectivo, poseedor de actitud responsable y comprometida con el interés de desarrollar nuestra nación orientada hacia el socialismo.
In the updating of the Cuban social economic model proposed in the social economic guidelines approved by the VI Congress of the PCC, ratified in the First National Conference and in its VII Congress, an important space is granted to the need to promote work that produces goods and services as a fundamental way to achieve the prosperous and sustainable socialism that we want and need. The main purpose of the

work that is presented is to argue the need to revitalize the meaning of work to achieve the development rates that we want to obtain. The work culture that we need to foster must be guided and enriched by the elements offered by the foundational MarxistLeninist thought and its continuators and the most advanced thinking of our national tradition, by Fidel, Che and Raúl. Education plays a very special role in this assignment, since the solutions that are offered must be assumed in an integral way and installed in the best of our culture, where independence and prosperity go hand in hand, to form a new man who responds to the demands of Cuban society. Our revolutionary education contributes, in the theoretical methodological order, the "should be", the system of ideals, values and ends on which the formation of this man is based. This culture of socialist work that we need to stimulate, must empower a subject capable of exceeding his individuality, putting himself in the function of the collective, possessing a responsible attitude and committed to the interest of developing our nation oriented towards socialism.
