I Simposio “Igualdad de Género: Avances y Proyecciones”.
El barrio de El Puche, en Almería, se ha configurado como un espacio geofísico altamente precarizado y nutrido de colectivos vulnerables; la población ha ido cambiando su composición hasta el extremo que, de aproximadamente ocho mil personas que residen en él, en torno al 80% es población migrada proveniente de Marruecos .
La investigación, por tanto, adquiere singularidades muy importantes que había que plantear en el inicio. Además, debido al desconocimiento general que existe en torno a qué herramientas contra la violencia de género pueden funcionar se ideó la estrategia, más adecuada a este contexto según nuestro criterio, de una Investigación Acción Participativa (IAP); el objetivo era que, tanto los agentes sociales del barrio como las mujeres residentes, participarán desde el inicio de las decisiones que podían tomarse en torno a la intervención en violencia de género.

The investigation, therefore, acquires very important singularities that had to be considered at the beginning. In addition, due to the general ignorance that exists around which tools against gender violence can work, the strategy, more appropriate to this context according to our criteria, of a Participatory Action Research (PAR) was devised; The objective was that both the social agents of the neighborhood and the resident women, would participate from the beginning in the decisions that could be taken regarding the intervention in gender violence.
