I Simposio “Igualdad de Género: Avances y Proyecciones”.
La realización efectiva de la igualdad de trato y no discriminación tiene una dimensión específica en la universidad pública española como garante de la igualdad de oportunidades de mujeres y hombres.
Recoge el objetivo final de la efectiva realización de los derechos individuales y el cumplimiento de las obligaciones como miembro de la comunidad universitaria en el marco de la igualdad entre mujeres y hombres, así como aquella condición individual vinculada a circunstancias de discapacidad, tener una identidad sexual no heteronormativa o pertenecer a una minoría cultural.
El marco legislativo español fundamenta el desarrollo de los instrumentos necesarios para su cumplimiento en la actividad universitaria que, en la Universitat Politècnica de València, ha supuesto la aprobación de distintos protocolos y guías dirigidos a la detección de situaciones que pueden interrumpir la convivencia respetuosa, a la implementación de estrategias restauradoras del equilibrio quebrado y al impulso de herramientas para garantizar toda actuación libre de sesgos discriminatorios.
Se presenta el desarrollo de esos instrumentos y su proyección futura en el marco de la evolución de la institución universitaria y la demanda de su propia comunidad.
The effective realization of equal treatment and non-discrimination has a specific dimension in the Spanish public university as a guarantor of equal opportunities for women and men.

The Spanish legislative framework establishes the development of the necessary instruments for its fulfillment in university activity, which, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, has led to the approval of different protocols and guides aimed at detecting situations that can interrupt respectful coexistence, to the implementation of strategies to restore the broken balance and the promotion of tools to guarantee any action free from discriminatory biases.
